Declaration of Essential Services for purposes of COVID-19

Government Notice 431-C of 2020

I, Fikile Mbalula, MP, Minister of Transport, hereby, in terms of regulation 10(7) (b) of the Regulations issued in terms of the Disaster Management Act, 2002 (Act No. 57 of 2002) hereby issue directions set out hereunder:
(1)For the purpose of these directions the following services are declared as essential services:
(a)Tollgate operators
(b)Road emergency operators
(c)Employees responsible for safe operation of the roads
(d)Rail logistic operators
This Notice shall become effective from the date of publication in the Government Gazette.Mr F.A. Mbalula, MPMinister of Transport
