Regulations relating to Investigating Directorate against Corruption, 2024

The Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development has, under section 40, read with section 19D(3), of the National Prosecuting Authority Act, 1998 (Act No. 32 of 1998), made the regulations in the Schedule.

1. Definitions

In these Regulations any expression to which a meaning has been assigned in the Act shall bear that meaning, unless the context otherwise indicates—the Act” means the National Prosecuting Authority Act, 1998 (Act No. 32 of 1998).

2. Identity-type document

An identity-type document contemplated in section 19D(3) of the Act must contain—
(a)logo and name of the prosecuting authority;
(b)name of the Investigating Directorate against Corruption;
(c)applicable section of the Act in terms of which the identity-type card is issued;
(d)name and surname of the investigator;
(e)identity size photo of the investigator;
(f)identity number of the investigator;
(g)rank of the investigator;
(h)date of appointment of the investigator; and
(i)signature of the head of the prosecuting authority and the date of signature.

3. Short title

These regulations are called Regulations relating to Investigating Directorate against Corruption, 2024.
