In this Act, unless the context otherwise indicates, a meaning ascribed to any word or phrase in the House of Traditional Leaders for the Province of North-West Act, 1994, (Act 12 of 1994), shall bear the same meaning. There shall be paid out of and as a charge against the Provincial Revenue Fund to a member such monies as the Premier in consultation with the Member of the Executive Council responsible for Finance may, subject to any recommendation made in terms of section 207 (2) of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa Act, 1993 (Act 200 of 1993), from time to time determine, including but not conclusive to:-(a)a sitting allowance for each day of any sitting of the House and for any meeting of any committee thereof.(b)such travelling and subsistence allowances which are reasonable and just so as to reimburse a member for any expenses incurred by him or her in attending any sitting of the House or meeting of any committee of the House or incurred in connection with the performance of any function or duty assigned to such member by the House or any committee thereof, as the case may be; and(c)any other allowances which may from time to time be determined as contemplated by this section. This Act shall be called the Remuneration of Members of the House of Traditional Leaders for the Province of the North-West Act, 1995 and shall be deemed to have come into operation on 1 April 1995.1.
