Case summary

The Court is entitled to look to the title of an Act in order to discover the object of the Legislature in enacting it.

Act 28 of 1907 conferred upon the Supreme Court jurisdiction to hear objections to the grant of Letters Patent, and did not merely substitute a Judge for the Commissioner.

Patent Agents are not entitled, under Act 28 of 1907, to act, or instruct Counsel to appear, before a Judge of the Supreme Court.
