The common law offence of abduction is not repealed by sec. 17 of Ord. 46 of 1903.
Where an accused person of unblemished character was convicted of abduction in circumstances of grea.t temptation and difficulty and sentenced to twelve months' imprisonment with hard labour, the Court, on appeal, reduced the sentence to one of six months' imprisonment with hard labour.
