Evidence - Marriage Certificate of Marriage in England -Authentication otherwise than according to Government Notice 1084 of 1905 - Ord.31 of 1904 - Law 3 of 1871, sec.18.

 

Case summary

Where a marriage certificate purported to be an extract from an English parish register and to be signed: by the rector, but had not been duly authenticated in accordance with the terms of Government Notice 1084 of 1905, upon identification of the rector's signature by the plaintiff, the Court admitted the certificate as proof of the marriage.
