Evidence - Declaration against Pecuniary Interest made by Person now deceased

 

Case summary

Shortly before his death, and in contemplatton thereof, a person wrote a letter to his brother confessing that he had forgged the latter's signature to a bill of exchange In an action against the brother on the said bill.

Held, that the said letter was not admissible as a declaration 1nade against his pecuniary interest by a person now deceased.
