Notwithstanding sec. 21 of P1·oc. 21 of 1902, a magistrate may suspend, alter or vary an order of civil imprisonment granted by him in such a way as not to
amount to an absolute_ discharge,. whether the debtor
actually be imprisoned or not (H. vs. Bossi, 4 S.C.
72, followed).
