31 of 1909, sec. 26 (1).

Case summary

The holding _of a general meeting is not a condition precedent to the direction in sec. 26 (1) of Act 31 of 1909
to send in "a list of all persons who, on the fourteenth
day after the first or only general meeting in
the year, are members of the company." Such direction
is mandatory and the directors cannot absolve
themselves from their obligation to obey it by not
holding a general meeting.
