Sale.-Sale of Land.-Formalities.-Sale of land situated
outside Transvaal.-Proc. 8 of 1902, sec. 30.- International Law.

Sec. 30 of Proc. 8 of 1902 which provides that a sale of
land must be in writing only applies to the sale of
land situated in the Transvaal, and a party suing
there on a contract for the sale of land elsewhere may
prove such contract according to the lem rei sitae.
