Criminal law-Sale of stock by native.-Absence of certificate Sale void.-Talcing of cattle by native not theft.-Ord. 6 of 1904 sec. 29.

A native who had sold stock to a European without a proper certificate as required by sec. 29 of Ord. 6 of 1004, removed the stock and was charged and found
guilty of theft. Held, on review, that the sale being prohibited by statute was void, and that the native was wrongly convicted of theft.
