Case summary

A native who had sold stock to a European without a proper certificate as required by sec. 29 of Ord. 6 of 1004, removed the stock and was charged and found
guilty of theft. Held, on review, that the sale being prohibited by statute was void, and that the native was wrongly convicted of theft.
