Case summary

Where an accused person, on an indictment charging him with theft, was found guilty by the jury of assisting to sell the stolen property knowing it to have
biien stolen, Held, that the jury's finding amounted to a verdict of guilty of theft, and that it was not necessary to prove that the accused ever had the stolen property in his personal possession R. v. Turpin and Bloke (1 Ros. 103) not followed.
